Reflecting on My ISM Journey: Growth, Challenges, and Gratitude

My ISM journey has been truly eye-opening, helping me grow as both a student and a researcher while teaching me the importance of perseverance, creativity, and seeing beyond technical details. I realized that technology isn’t just about coding or algorithms, it’s about how it can genuinely impact lives. As Arthur C. Clarke once said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic,” and I have come to see that thoughtfully applied AI can feel like magic, transforming healthcare and empowering people in ways we once thought impossible. Although this chapter is ending, I am excited to continue working on my project and seeing where it leads. ISM not only allowed me to explore my passions and build something meaningful for the community, but also helped me strengthen critical soft skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. At first, I was hesitant to join ISM in my senior year, since most of my classmates were juniors and my senior friends were already in ISM II, but after some reflection, I decided to take the leap and it turned out to be a great decision. I am deeply grateful to my teacher, Ms. Russell, for her constant support, and to my classmates, who made this journey even more enjoyable and inspiring.
