The last two weeks at ISM have been incredible. I attended the Professional Symposium, where I networked with professionals, participated in interviews, and attended informative sessions. I connected with Ms. Caydi Zeregn, the Director of Sales and Marketing at National Health Benefits, to discuss how AI transforms healthcare by personalizing patient care. Given that my ISM project focuses on the medical field and AI, we explored how AI revolutionizes healthcare, particularly in her work, where it matches therapists with patients based on shared experiences. This conversation helped me better understand AI’s role in enhancing the personalization of patient care. I also interviewed with Alan E. Mesches, author of “The Flying Grunt: The Story of Lieutenant General Richard E. Carey, United States Marine Corps (Ret).”, who gave me valuable feedback on my speaking style and resume formatting. Additionally, I learned from an IT professional that aligning technical skills with business requirements and communicating ideas are crucial in tech careers. The symposium inspired me to improve my presentation skills and align my ISM project with real-world needs. I also reflected on my personal growth, especially in networking, and how skills gained in ISM will benefit me beyond the program. I revamped my digital portfolio based on branding insights workshops, including adopting the domain “tanushchauhan.com.” Also, I received some great feedback on my idea of original work in the original work workshop, which will significantly help me in the upcoming original work assignment. The experience from the Symposium enhanced my communication skills and professional development, and I plan to apply this feedback to refine my ISM project.
