The last two weeks in ISM have been fundamental to the development of my project. Building on my previous work, I successfully created a comprehensive list of potential cancer types that could be detected using a phone camera, focusing on leveraging AI for early detection. After conducting research, I narrowed the list down to a few promising candidates, each showing significant potential for AI applications in mobile diagnostics. This also allowed me to meet one of my SMART goals—ahead of schedule—by finalizing the list nearly a week earlier than planned, reassuring me that I am on the right track. I have since adjusted my timeline and goals to optimize the extra time gained for further research. Additionally, I joined the FISD ISM AI Architects Slack community, which I plan to use as a resource for guidance and collaboration, particularly when I begin training my AI model. This community offers valuable expertise that will help me tackle challenges as they arise. While I continue researching specific cancer types, I also plan to gather relevant datasets from sources like Kaggle and curate a preliminary list to streamline the data collection phase. The progress so far has been rewarding and motivating, and I look forward to what’s next.
